Picture This: Cancer is Cured

Just a few weeks ago, the Reading Tub, Inc. learned about Robert's Snow, a touching, phenomenal effort started by children's book author Grace Lin, who lost her husband to bone cancer. For the past three years, she has enlisted children's book illustrators to help her raise money for cancer's cure with this unique fundraiser.

Robert's Snow is an online auction that benefits Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This year, more than 200 children's book illustrators have created art on individual snowflake-shaped wooden templates.

Each snowflake is a unique one-of-a-kind treasure that reflects the spirit of its creator. Beginning October 15, 2007 and ending November 18, 2007, bloggers from around the world will give you the story-behind-the-story for five of the snowflakes and their creator. The auctions themselves will open on November 19, 2007. There are three auctions in total.
