Reading Ahead - Books for Ages 0 to 4 (Jan/Feb 2008)

Now that we have settled into the new year, it's time to carry our new year's resolutions into Month Two. Even though we haven't gotten too many books for this age group these past two months, we did find a few.

One Odd Day! and One Even day! by Doris Fisher and Dani Sneed I consider myself "allergic to math," but I don't want my daughter to be that way. These look like really funny stories to get her going in the right direction. (Sylvan Dell Publishing, 2006).

Peeper has a Fever by Charlotte Cowan, MD. Last fall we read The Little Elephant with the Big Earache, and LOVED it! Ditto the recently received Katie Caught a Cold. Peeper (frog) and Sadie (giraffe) are as cute as Katie (a bear) and Eddie (elephant). We always learn something about helping our kids through common ailments that we didn't know before.
